S.C. VIROMET S.A. - VICTORIA

S.C. Viromet S.A. was founded as a joint stock company in 1990.

The privatisation process of the company was concluded in June 2002, when InterAgro Group of Companies purchased the majority shareholding. At the beginning of 2003, the methanol plant was revamped, increasing the production by 35 %.

UHDE Germany and IPROCHIM Romania designed the methanol IV plant to produce 210,000 tons / year methanol, while the synthesis and distillation phases are ICI patented. Thanks to its high quality, some 80% of the methanol capacity produced in S.C. Viromet S.A. is sold internationally for a total amount of 130,000 tons / year.

S.C. Viromet S.A. updated its technological processes for the manufacturing of resins, with most of the resins produced by the company complying with the E 1 formaldehyde emission class.
S.C. Viromet S.A. has implemented an integrated environmental quality management system, in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 regulations which meets the customer requirements and regulates the company's own activities, products and services concerning the environment. S.C. Viromet S.A. holds the AEROQ certificate, endorsing the quality standard of the Company.
S.C. Viromet S.A.'s research and development department constantly updates products to meet market demand and future trends.

S.C. Viromet S.A.'s infrastructure includes specialised railtank cars and a car fleet for product distribution.
